The Southern Public Administration Education Foundation, Inc. (SPAEF) is located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The SPAEF's purpose is to develop and to disseminate information in the fields of public administration and management. This dissemination is accomplished primarily through the publication of several blind-refereed journals:
- Journal of Health and Human Services Administration
- Public Administration Quarterly
- Public Administration and Management
- Public Finance and Management
In addition, the Foundation sponsors two national/international trend studies dealing with the demographics, education, and motivation characteristics of public and budgeting administrators.
